What are the benefits of an SSD for use with a PlayStation®4?
With transfer speeds far superior to mechanical hard disk drives (HDD), SSD benefits include: decreased system boot time, decreased game update time, and faster system responsiveness. Physically, SSDs offer greater shock resistance, utilize less power, and reduce heat output compared to the default HDD.
Do I need any additional or special software with my SSD and PlayStation®4?

What information should be copied onto the USB drive for moving onto the newly installed SSD?
User data such as save data, screenshots, friend list, friend messages, themes, and settings can be backed up to the included USB drive for transfer to the new SSD. Games should be downloaded from PlayStation® Store onto the new SSD.
Does installing an SSD into my PlayStation®4 void my warranty?
No, upgrading from the default Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to an SSD does not void your Sony Interactive Entertainment, Inc. warranty. Please consult the details of the warranty for additional information.
How do I copy over my games from my HDD to the SSD?
After installing the new SSD into the PlayStation®4, login to the PlayStation® Store. Here, games can be downloaded onto the new SSD. Can I use this SSD upgrade kit with PlayStation® 3?
Yes, however the installation will vary. This kit, and the installation guide, are designed for use with the PlayStation® 4. There are many walkthroughs for PlayStation®3 SSD installation online that can instruct how to install an SSD into a PlayStation®3.
Can I use an SSD and the PlayStation® 4 default HDD together?
The PlayStation® 4 only has one internal SATA slot, so only one SSD or one HDD can be used at any time.
