Logistics Coordinator
Verbatim Americas seeks a Logistics Coordinator to help manage business issues related to Logistics Operations. This job is in Charlotte, NC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Helps coordinate Order Administration and 3PL Distribution including order processing, scheduling, expediting, customer returns, transportation, storage and shipping of customer orders.
- Coordinate Inbound/Outbound shipments via Ocean, Air, and Ground
- Helps communicate, implement and interpret customer service policies and procedures, with interaction between Marketing, Finance, Credit, Planning and Distribution.
- Serves as liaison between Customers, Sales and internal departments to resolve any customer service issues.
- Serves as liaison between Verbatim & third-party logistics company, ensuring that the needs of Verbatim are met.
- Helps to maintain database for domestic and international customers which is used to produce Verbatim financial and sales reports.
- Helps measure and report performance of orders towards the achievements of AOP.
- Coordinates the efforts to adjust inventory and production schedules as required.
- Assists in the negotiation and maintenance of transportation contracts and tariffs.
- Helps manager analyze customer order patterns and recommends changes to improve costs and customer penalties.
- Acts as an interface between customers and IT staff to ensure EDI set ups when required.
- Supports best way transportation to meet customer demands and AOP.
- File carrier claims.

- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Proficient in: MS Word and Excel; SAP (S&D Module) order processing systems and My Eureka and/or Microsoft Query database software.
- Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
